Thorngrove Garden Centre is a traditional garden centre in the heart of Gillingham, in the beautiful county of Dorset. They have been supplying expert advice and quality plants to their customers for the past 50 years!
Thorngrove sits under the umbrella company of Employ My Ability (EMA). This also means that they are able to offer opportunities, integrating students with special educational needs into real jobs on site at the garden centre, on the grounds, and in its café and shop.
As part of Thorngrove Garden Centre’s continued output of content on their social media as well as their website, we proposed a video which highlighted some of their very special USPs. What sets them apart from other garden centres? Well, their expert staff, and how their Employ my Ability (EMA) students are an integral part of their day to day.
The video features key people from the Garden Centre, along with shots from around the site. This is a subtle, yet effective way to show off what Thorngrove is all about.
We wanted to avoid anything too elaborate and ‘out-there’ using limited graphics or edits, keeping to a more traditional video structure. This meant a rapid turn-around, while retaining the key message and desired result of getting the Thorngrove staff introduced to the public whilst ensuring the authenticity of the ‘advert’ rather than a message of hard selling.
This type of video content is a fantastic way to introduce real people in your business and present them to your audience and customer base in way which feels welcoming, honest, real and engaging! Creating videos like this allows opportunities to be repurposed into
bite-sized clips, perfect for stopping people while they scroll. It is also a great way to offer an informative video of their business website, YouTube channel, or videos tabs.
